Hunt the Edge

Hunt the edges for better success.  This is where the deer tend to travel the majority of the time.

Areas where fields end, logging roads, edges of wetlands and swamps, where hardwood gives way to conifer, fence rows are areas popular with deer as travel corridors.

If your hunting ground lacks natural contours that present obvious bottlenecks try placing your stand inside the first few yards of any natural or manmade edges at your disposal for better odds at success.
