Hunting Tip 156
Here on the east coast, I use a Summit climbing tree stand when I bow hunt whitetail deer. I like to hunt smoking hot sign the same day I find it and I try never to from the same tree twice. I also use various approaches to my hunting areas if possible. I zip-tied two nylon sheathes to the bottom of my climbers platform. I keep a ratchet pruning shears in one and a folding handsaw in the other. With these two tools, always at hand and never forgotten, I can quickly and silently ascend any fairly straight tree. Remember, the first day you sit any stand is going to be the most effective
