HuntingLife Podcast 89 Marion County Kansas Disabled Hunt
Getting the opportunity to film hunters in Marion Kansas at the Marion Lake Wildlife Refuge with the Volunteers, Hunters and Kansas Department of Parks and Wildlife was a special treat for us. Hunts like this are a life changing event for those of us who are fortunate enought to take part in them. These amazing hunters wait all year for the opportunity to partake in this hunt. The community of hunters and volunteers as well as the staff that run this hunt are an amazing community of folks who have become fast friends and the event is like a yearly reunion of great friends.
I was honored to spend 3 days with this amazing community of people and I am very excited to be able to return next year for this event. I would like to especially thank Don and Dianne Merritt for the opportunity to join them and for the introductions and invitiation to join them as volunteers for this amazing hunt. The men and women of Marion Kansas and the Army Corp of Engineers and the Kansas Depart of Parks and Wildlife should be especailly proud of thier staff who run this event, the hunting world is richer because of these kinds of events and that is what the Hunting Life is all about.
Invitations to the program mostly go to past participants and others they suggest. Anyone interested in joining the program should contact the Corps of Engineers at (620) 382-2101.
