Imagine a place that has been unchanged over time.  Nature at its best.  No roads, no power lines, not even a generator.  Water so clean that you can drink it right out of the creek.  The only mode of transportation is horseback.  It is literally like stepping back in time.  Now imagine elk hunting in such an area.  Does it exist?  Yes it does and we can take you there.

Wyoming Expeditions outfits in the Teton Wilderness and camp is only 9 miles from the Southeast corner of Yellowstone.  Rifle hunting in the rut!  Migration hunts in the snow!  Horseback every day!  We specialize in elk hunting and that is why we hunt the “Thorofare”.  The Thorofare Creek flows into the Yellowstone River which then flows into Yellowstone.  Camp is about half way between Cody and Jackson and is at 8500 feet above sea level.

You might see a grizzly and you might hear a wolf.  Most of our hunters see elk every day.  Take a look at the elk our hunters have killed the past two hunting seasons and the pictures will speak for themselves.

One last note, this hunt is not for everyone - you better be in shape.  It is very physical.  I had an elk hunter this past hunting season tell me:  “Jeff, you don’t just offer elk hunts - you offer Extreme elk hunts”.  They are a high adrenalin adventure and a hunt that will never be forgotten.
