No, it's not the hunter. It goes beyond ducks, decoys, guns, shells and dogs. The most important ingredient is 'the place to hunt'.

We have the superb locations to hunt. The lodge is in close proximity to our areas we hunt. We hunt WMU's 522, 357 and 358. We are in the perfect location for migrating geese and ducks heading south.
We have access to a variety of waterfowl hunting habitat. Our local agricultural fields change every year to keep the soil fresh, and if the field happens to be peas, more times than not the geese and ducks pile up in those fields.
Your mind will be blown away with that awe inspiring goose and duck encounter!
Some hunters might argue that scouting is the most important part of the hunt. It is important, and we take our scouting very seriously. As your 'head honcho', I, Rick Ruzzamenti, spot and follow the birds religiously. I personally have my finger on the pulse of the areas we hunt. I know what fields are hot, and I will have you happily lying or sitting, depends on what type of blind, along with a perfectly placed Big Foot decoy spread in fresh goose droppings every morning. That's my promise to you. I give you the chance to shoot, but it is up to you to make the shot!

At the Dry Creek Goose Camp in Alberta, Canada, our goal is to put you in a pea field or cereal crop in the mornings shooting greaters and lesser Canada geese with a chance of a flight of white fronts coming in. Snow geese are non existent up here, we shot seven in the last four years, so if you like big honkers - we got them!
We use stand up willow blinds or stealth lay down blinds or a combination of both.
We hunt ducks over water in the afternoon, and most mornings at first light we shoot the mallards that come into the big foot decoys. We shoot a lot of mallards along with other dabbler species like pintail, widgeon, gadwalls and teals. We shoot divers over water, canvas backs, golden eyes, scaups, redheads and a few buffelheads.
The Dry Creek Lodge is located in Alberta, Canada in a serene, private area, one hour drive from Grande Prairie.

The Dry Creek Lodge offers a quiet, stress free and relaxing atmosphere between hunts. Guaranteed a good time, great food, and warm hospitality.
We focus on waterfowl, just ducks and geese, and lots of them.
Dry Creek is a proud member of APOS, the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society.
