Brad Desjarlais Hunting & Guiding
Brad Desjarlais Hunting & Guiding will be going into its ninth year of operation in 2009. We offer the opportunity to hunt for a variety of big game.
Changes in Canadian law have made it possible for Canadian Aboriginal peoples to assume greater control over their lands. Our First Nations (the Canadian term for a reservation) now have complete control over access to these lands. Almost all of the lands under Aboriginal jurisdiction have never been open to commercial outfitters. The land has been hunted primarily by the residents of the area for subsistence purposes.
All of our guides are local residents to the areas we hunt, therefore they have special knowledge of the area and excellent knowledge of animal habits. If you have ever thought of the ultimate hunting experience, perhaps this is what you have been waiting for!
We offer competitive prices and quality customer service. The guides or myself will do whatever possible to help hunters get the trophy hunt they are looking for. I know we can help you find your dream buck!
My name is Brad Desjarlais. I have hunted all across Saskatchewan and in many parts of Canada for over 23 years. The experience my guides and I have has allowed us to create a hunting package that is unique, very exciting, with a very respectable success rate. We have fully guided packages in two different First Nations in Saskatchewan. Have a look around. I know we can provide you with the ultimate hunting experience!
Where: Hunters that book early in the season will hunt in southern Saskatchewan lands. There are very few outfitting operations in this area.
Typical Hunt: Hunters have the option of being picked up from the airport or driving out to camp in a rental vehicle. Brad meets every hunter upon arrival at camp to complete the licenses and discuss the hunt. Both locations we hunt have excellent lodging facilities nearby.
The Hunt:
* Wake up at 5. am
* Breakfast is served and a bag lunch is provided to hunters.
* We introduce the guides and hunters at breakfast.
* The stands are chosen during breakfast. The decision is based on the wind patterns and weather that morning.
* After breakfast the hunters are driven to the stands by a guide.
* Hunters are equipped with two-way radio's. There will be communication between the hunter and guide every two hours.
* When a kill is made the guides will take photographs and field dress the harvested animal.
* The head is prepared for travel, caped out and the horns are boxed.
* Hunters are not required to leave after they have harvested an animal. The option to stay until the booked hunt is over is available.

Moose - From Sept to late October. Bow, Rifle, and Muzzle Loader
