Tucked away in the remote forests of northeastern Maine, you’ll find some of the finest hunting grounds in the country.  At Birch Hill Camps we will do our very best to provide a successful enjoyable trip to this area. Maine is well known for its high population of bears and producing trophy class deer. We specialize in bear, white-tailed deer and moose hunting. Our bear hunts are over active baits, we offer an archery season tent camp for deer, and a rifle hunt for deer out of our camps.

Bear Hunts

On our Bear hunts we provide active baits, set up with tree stands or ground blinds for both archery and rifle hunters, staying in our modern housekeeping camps located in wytopitlock Maine. We provide complete trophy care we will skin your bear quarter and freeze the meat for your trip home. There is excellent bass fishing available at this time of year for in the mornings and after you gotten your bear.

Deer Hunts

We operate tent camps for an archery only deer hunt in Oct, the tent camps are set up with bunks and mattress meals are provided stands and ground blinds are set up and ready to hunt. Why tent camps? Because the deer are here.

On our Nov. rifle hunts we stay at our camps in wytopitlock, each group has there own camp they are set up with bunk beds and complete kitchens we do not serve meals at the camps. We utilize both stands in ground blinds on deer trails, rub and scrape lines. The opportunity to still hunt and track deer in snow is best in the later part of the season here.

Moose Hunts

 Moose hunts are by permit and we will be happy to assist you in the application process for a truly world class hunt.

Coyote Hunts

Coyote hunting is very challenging, but we do have success hunting them over bait and calling. Maine has thousands of coyotes being called brush wolves by some, due to their very large size With a year round open season and even winter night hunting we can provide a trip with a more flexible time frame that meets your schedule.

Fishing & Canoe trips

During the spring and summer we have exceptional small mouth bass fishing, in the Mattawamkeag River, along with Maine’s famous Brookies. Come join me for a trip, fishing small mouths out of a canoe, or wading the river for brook trout. I also offer canoe trips where the fishing is just a part of the experience.
