The Oregon Fire Lines

NEW YORK, NY  Today Vice announced the release of The Oregon Fire Lines, as part of VBS.TV's Americana film series. In their newest American expose, Vice brings their audience literally into the line of fire giving viewers a first hand look at the rugged frontiersman who dig miles of ditches to prevent the inferno from destroying the land. The film premiered this week and is presented by Levi's and Filson, in celebration of the launch of "Levi's Workwear by Filson".

 

In The Oregon Fire Lines, VBS.TV spends time shadowing a crew of blue collar forest-firefighters, in Southern Oregon, march the sides of, what most people would consider a cliff, to cut the fire lines in preparation for crucial forest saving controlled burn. 

 

It's an inside look on what it's like to fight natures inferno from deep inside the trenches.
