Shelby Township, MI - The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) announced recently that they voted to add three new members, Kemble du Pont, Louise K. Terry, and Denis Karnosky, to their Board of Trustees.

Kemble du Pont is a 2002 graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was a member of Delta Gamma and studied abroad at the University College Oxford in Oxford, England. Summer internships included working at her father's business, du Pont/Krieghoff Gun Co., in the marketing and sales departments and also representing the company at various clay target shoots.

After graduation until late 2009, Kemble worked as a Sales Professional in a Management capacity for Robert Half International, a Fortune 500 company. In January 2010, Kemble joined du Pont/Krieghoff as VP of Sales & Marketing, which was a natural fit growing up in the gun business along with her sales and marketing experience.

Kemble hopes to follow in her father Hal du Pont's footsteps as a shooter, corporate executive and industry innovator. Hal was extensively involved in all of the clay target sports on state, national and international levels. Watching his contributions and dedication to the industry over many years, and now with her own participation, Kemble recognizes the significance of growing the sport especially to youth shooters and new shooters. Her father always emphasized that "shooting is not just a sport, but a character builder". Kemble intends to carry on traditions started by her father while also making her own.

Louise K. Terry was born in Ithaca, NY. After graduating from Ithaca High School she attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs for 3 years and then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Syracuse University.

Louise was a career employee of IBM Corp. in Product & Systems Development for 35 years, 28 years of which was spent in management positions; last 12 years in Executive positions of responsibility. At time of retirement was Vice President, Storage Group, responsible for managing a team providing all customer service & support for the IBM Storage Products family worldwide.

Louise has had a lifelong relationship with the shooting sports, starting as a kid at age 10 hunting with her Dad, Larry Kolar and continuing with her husband, Bill. She became a member of NSSA in 1959 when she began shooting registered skeet as a Junior shooter. She "retired" from competitive shooting in 1967 after she married and was starting her career, but returned to skeet with her husband in 1977, and she has been shooting registered skeet ever since. She also joined the NSCA & the ATA in the late 1980s, shooting occasional tournaments in trap and sporting clays. She is currently a Life Member of NSSA, NSCA and the ATA; also a member of the NRA and Safari Club International.

Louise has been active in various aspects of NSSA governance since returning to shooting in the late 70's including serving as an NSSA Officer, Secretary/Treasurer, Vice-President, President and Past President. She is currently serving as the Chair of the NSSA Long Range Planning Committee, the Chair of the Chair and Finance Committee, is an NSSA Director representing FL and has been elected to serve on the NSCA Advisory Council as well.

She is a 25+ year NSSA All-American and member of the NSSA Hall of Fame (inducted 1997). Louise was also inducted into the New York State Skeet HOF (1996) and the Georgia Skeet HOF (2003).

Denis Karnosky is a native of Livingston, Illinois, one of those typical small towns where hunting and fishing becomes a passion early in life. His commitment was further driven by his father, Stanley who spent his entire working career manufacturing ammunition for Winchester in what started as the 'Western Cartridge Company' in East Alton. Mary and he were married in 1965 and have two children and seven grandchildren. He has been a coach with the very successful Burlington High School shooting team in Wisconsin since its inception.

Now retired, Denis was a Managing Director, Head of Asset Allocation at UBS Asset Management. In addition to investment responsibility for multi-asset portfolios, he directed currency strategy across all portfolios, development of investment technology and risk analysis. Originally a Managing Partner and member of the Board of Directors of UBSAM's predecessor organization, Brinson Partners, Inc. (Chicago), Denis' group developed the framework for multi-asset, multi-currency performance attribution that has become the industry standard. Prior to joining Brinson Partners, he was Director of Research and Trading with Conti-Commodity Services and Heinold Commodities. He was the Deputy to the Under Secretary of the U.S. Treasury and the Head of the Office of Monetary Policy Analysis in the Reagan Administration. Previously, he was Vice President and Deputy Director of Research with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He has served as an advisor to private and public organizations in Europe and Latin America. Denis holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University.

The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF) is responsible for all aspects of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) across the United States, including participant registration, coaches, state coordinators, state and national championships, promotion, communications, websites, public relations and growth strategies The Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation exists to raise funding and other resources for Youth Development Programs in the shooting sports industry.

SCTP is a youth development program where adult coaches and volunteers model sportsmanship, responsibility, honesty, ethics, integrity, and team work while using shooting sports programs to teach these and other positive life skills to SCTP athletes.
