Product Reviews

Our review policy is simple, Team Hunting Life is committed to providing fair and impartial reviews to our readers, because we believe our integrity is at stake.

Manufacturers of various products send our team products to test out on a regular basis and our goal is to truly test that product in real world hunting conditions. We are not providing any reviews in order to receive any free products. If we like the product and we want to own the product, we pay for it, just like anyone else. We do however ask the manufacturers to give Team Hunting Life some product to donate to conservation organizations and if they are willing, we choose one of the many conservation banquets that are available nationwide to donate the product to be auctioned off.

Our goal is a win/win/win/win situation for all involved. The manufacturers win because they get publicity for their product, we win because we get to review great products(we enjoy it), conservation organizations get great new donations, and you the reader wins because you get the latest product reviews to read and learn about the best products on the market.

If you are looking to get your product reviewed please contact us and we will do our best to review your product as quickly as possible. Some reviews take time to write, we are very busy but we strive to be as efficient as possible. We review outdoor gear, rifles, muzzleloaders, optics and archery products.

OUTFITTER REVIEWS

We review outfitters as well and for these reviews we are very careful because we know that you as a reader are counting on our team to give you information as fairly as possible because you may be booking a hunt based on our opinion of the outfitter. First of all we only go on hunts where we have done our research in the first place. We only hunt with an outfitter after we have checked them out with the game and fish departments, trade associations and talked to 10 references. We have a limited amount of time and we look for outfitters in areas we want to hunt, with quality game and quality reputations.

For the majority of our reviews you will be able to go online and watch the action as it unfolds in each camp. We will be blogging our hunts from the field or soon after and we will provide daily journals of each of our hunts. You will get to know what game we saw each day. The pictures that we took each day will be uploaded and you will get to see them. Our goal is to provide you an intimate look at the operation. We will give you our opinion on the quality of game and the quality of the outfitter.

Of course we work with outfitters and in some cases we will be there to film the hunts, provide consulting services to the outfitter on how to have a better operation and how best to grow their business. We will not sacrifice our integrity just to go on a free hunt we learned long ago their are no free lunches. We also pay for a good portion of our hunts and we will bring you the same quality review whether we pay for a hunt or not. We always buy our own tags and we always provide our own transportation. While in camp we work hard and we hunt hard and we have a ton of fun along the way! We look forward to bringing you more reviews throughout the years

We will never book hunts for anyone and we will not accept commissions from outfitters. On occasion we get special offers from outfitters to fill up an entire camp. If we decide to make that offer to you the readers to come hunting with us, we are paying full price just like you and any discounts are given to the entire camp. You will book your hunt directly with the outfitter. If the outfitter is especially generous and wants to offer a free spot in camp(if we fill so many slots), we offer that to a youth hunter who is available to come along with a paying client.
