Doctors VS Guns?
Here's a new twist on the firearms issue.
Doctors:
1 The number of doctors in Canada is 700,000
2. Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000
3. Accidental deaths per physician is 17.14%
Statistics courtesy of the Canadian Dept of Health & Human Services
Guns:
1. The number of guns owned in Canada is 80,000,000 (yes that's 80
Million)
2. The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500
3. The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.001875%
Statistics courtesy of the RCMP
So statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous
Than gun owners.
Remember, guns don't kill people, doctors do.
FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE
DOCTOR.
Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors Before this gets completely out of hand!!!
Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld statistics on Lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical Attention. Then we would be in real trouble.

Rocky Mountain National Park elk management plan detailed
DENVER - National Park Service employees and authorized agents will be permitted to kill up to 200 elk every year in Rocky Mountain National Park as part of a program announced Tuesday to control the growing herd of about 3,100 animals.
The National Park Service also detailed plans for fencing and other control measures in the $6 million, 20-year population management plan that has taken four years to complete.
Two conservation groups said they will sue the Park Service to block the plan, which they criticized as letting "politics and timidity triumph over science and common sense."

Federal Farm Bill Passes U.S. Senate
By a vote of 79-14, the U.S. Senate Friday passed its version of the Federal Farm Bill. Quail Forever (QF) supports the Farm Bill passed by the Senate, recognizing it as a strong foundation for conservation.
"We applaud U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry Chairman Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Ranking Member Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) in helping craft a bill that's strong on conservation," said Dave Nomsen, QF's Vice President of Government Affairs, "This Senate action is very good news in that it supports achieving a new Farm Bill early next year, diminishing the chances of extending the existing bill."

Bo and Melissa Spencer are just the newest wonderful people who contacted me to talk about their new line of turkey calls. Each of the calls are named after the family and it sounds like they have a wonderful family. These are great looking slate calls that are going to be collectors items someday.
