Second Annual Hunt.Fish. Feed Tour Announced

New York, New York - Sportsman Channel and Safari Club International Foundation's Sportsmen Against HungerTM announced today the launch of the second annual, multi-city Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM tour. Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM is a unique public affairs program that taps a new food source-game meat and fish donated by sportsmen-to help feed people across America. The new, ten-month tour, which will partner locally with Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Cox Communications systems in markets across the nation, will kick-off in Las Vegas at the Shade Tree Shelter on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.

Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will be present to officially kick-off the Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM event in Las Vegas. The Mayor also attended the city's event last January. "I'm very pleased that the Sportsman Channel and Safari Club are bringing the successful Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM program back to Las Vegas," said Mayor Goodman. "The city of Las Vegas has worked very hard to help people escape the cycle of homelessness, and this program is another resource that our care providers can use."

The tour will travel to 10 cities across America in 2010, including Las Vegas (January 19); Minneapolis-St. Paul (February); Harrisburg (March); Houston (April); Chicago (May); Portland (June); Milwaukee (July); San Diego (August); Tampa-St. Petersburg (September); and Pensacola (October). For information on tour stops and how to volunteer, please visit www.huntfishfeed.org.

Bill Wright, Comcast Sr. Vice President for the Twin Cities Region, is equally invested in the opportunities this program provides. "Comcast has a long tradition of giving back to the communities we serve, and our partnership with Sportsman Channel and Safari Club International is a natural extension of that commitment, especially during this time of economic hardship." Wright added, "Minnesota's rich tradition of outdoor sports makes the Twin Cities a perfect stop for the 2010 Hunt.Fish.Feed tour."

"We are pleased to continue Hunt.Fish.Feed. and our partnership with Safari Club International Foundation, as well as continue to join forces with Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Cox Communications to further increase our impact throughout the ten cities on our tour. Hunt.Fish.Feed. brings together sportsmen and homeless shelters to help feed those struggling in today's economy, and lends emotional support to those who are faced with the everyday challenges of feeding themselves and their families," said Willy Burkhardt, president of Sportsman Channel. "We are proud to continue and expand our partnerships in this initiative with the Safari Club International Foundation and our cable partners to enhance the depth and range of our positive impact locally."

The announcement of Sportsman Channel's second annual Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM tour follows the network's highly successful inaugural tour which launched in December of 2008. That eight-city tour targeted several U.S. cities with some of the highest homeless populations, including New York City, Los Angeles, Detroit, Denver, Orange County, Las Vegas, Houston and Washington, D.C.

"Thanks to caring sportsmen and sportswomen, millions of meals are served annually each year to those in need across the country and we are excited to again partner with Sportsman Channel for their Hunt.Fish.Feed. tour," said Safari Club International Foundation President Larry Rudolph. "Through SCIF's many humanitarian programs like Sportsmen Against Hunger™, our chapters and members demonstrate the highest levels of philanthropy. Whether it involves feeding millions of hungry each year, offering free healthcare and supplies to impoverished communities, or introducing children to the wonders of wildlife, SCIF is committed to its charitable tenet of giving," continued Rudolph.

The 2008 tour concluded in Washington, D.C., during the National Cable Telecommunications Association's Cable Show, having served a total of 8,500 meals with local cable volunteers in each city giving back to those in need. During the cable show, Sportsman Channel hosted a "Buck the Recession" bash to help raise money for the Capital Area Food Bank. Sportsman Channel also donated $5,000 to the Safari Club International Foundation's Sportsmen Against HungerTM for their continued support.

In March, Sportsman Channel's Haley Heath, host of Family Traditions, was named the official ambassador for the Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM initiative. During the upcoming tour, she will serve as the program's official spokesperson, educating the public about the importance of harvesting game for use in programs like Hunt.Fish.Feed.SM, something Haley has practiced throughout her life.

Launched in 2003, Sportsman Channel is the only television and digital company fully devoted to the more than 82 million sportsmen in the United States, delivering entertaining and educational programming focused exclusively on hunting, shooting and fishing activities. Acquired by InterMedia Outdoors Holdings in 2006, Sportsman Channel is now a part of the nation's largest multimedia company targeted exclusively to serving the information and entertainment needs of outdoors enthusiasts.
