Hunt, Texas - April 5, 2010 –Huntin’ with the Judge host – Hon. Julie Mogens and her Posse are currently in New Zealand with The Gunny, R. Lee Ermey Ret. USMC as well as a very special guest joining them for the hunt of a lifetime.  Judge Julie is head of the Outdoor Sports Program for the Armed Forces Foundation and works hard to take a Wounded Soldier, Sailor, or Marine hunting or fishing with her each and every month.  Judge Julie travels the world for her nationally broadcast show, Huntin’ with the Judge, and this year is no different.  Many episodes will feature a wounded warrior to be the focus of the show.

The New Zealand trip will be no exception as LCpl Hardy Mills of the United States Marine Corps hunts alongside Judge Julie and The Gunny on this fantastic hunt of a lifetime.  LCpl. Mills was wounded from our current conflict overseas.  For his sacrifice for our country, he has been honored with the Purple Heart.  His bravery and sacrifice have not gone overlooked by The Judge. When asked why she does it, Julie says “It is our way of saying thanks, our goal is to get the Soldiers, Sailors or Marines out of the fluorescent lit hospital rooms and onto the water or into the field as much as possible.”

Once arriving on the South Island of New Zealand they will be meeting up with an old friend of Judge Julie’s and taken to the Lake Wanaka area to hunt together.  While in Lake Wanaka they will witness yet another treat, one that I am sure LCpl. Mills, The Gunny and The Judge will remember forever as they watch WWII planes, jets and helicopters fly over the beautiful waters of Lake Wanaka at the annual Warbirds Over Wanaka International Air Show.  This is the largest air show in the world and is guaranteed to impress anyone who gets the unique opportunity to see it live.
