A day at the Range!
Every September or August, I get the chance to head out to Warrenton, VA to the local Clark Brothers Gun Range. It is about an hour from the house and it is one of the last free ranges in Virginia to shoot your gun at. The range offers it all from Archery shooting to Shotguns, Pistols and Rifles. You can shoot semi automatic pistols and rifles and the ranges go from 15 yards all the way out to 100 yards. Perfect for sighting in your Rifle and getting in some practice before a good
hunting trip.
As you can see it has been a while since I have been out shooting and I could use some practice. My usual goal is to put about a 100 rounds through the rifle before I head out into the woods. With a pending Antelope Hunt next week I am going to have to get some more rounds through the rifle on Thursday and Friday.

Matt,
Why don't you just use the indoor range inside of NRA Headquarters? It is controlled, easy to use, free to members and clean. Bring your own glasses and ear protection, it can get a bit loud. But Clark Brothers is only about an hour from them and you have to buy your ammo from them otherwise it is free and their ammo is competitive with everywhere else.

Good post. I've never shot at Clarke Brothers but should. My lack of a place to shoot my guns regularly is one of the reasons I do so much more bow hunting than gun hunting.

Very cool. I wish I had a place like that someplace close to me.
